Thoughts From the Executive Director
“I believe that every right implies a responsibility; every opportunity, an obligation; every possession, a duty”
--John D. Rockefeller
It has been my privilege to be a part of Nutrition and Services for Seniors for 24 years. I see evidence every day that we are making a difference in the lives of the seniors who live in Jefferson and Hardin Counties. I believe that the services we provide not only allow our seniors to remain independent in their home but also allow family members the comfort of knowing their loved ones are receiving the services they need.
Our staff is the most dedicated group of people I know. It takes all of us working together to provide the care and services that are needed. The kitchen makes sure every meal is made to please the seniors and give them something to look forward to everyday. The drivers deliver the meals with compassion and make note of the seniors’ physical and mental conditions and report any changes. The staff at our senior dining sites welcomes our seniors and makes them feel a part of all the activities that go on in the center. Our administrative staff is responsible for accurate reporting and insuring that the overall needs of our seniors are our number one priority.
Working in this wonderful organization has allowed me to come in contact with many extraordinary people who give of their time, talents and treasures; all of which are necessary elements that assure continuous services to our seniors.
